Day 5 Sugar Detox Meal Plan

We're really almost done guys! If you've made it this far without any cheating it's all downhill from here! You can do it!
Today I woke up feeling super energized. I really don't have a craving straight off for anything sweet or even coffee (I'm sure that will change throughout the day). I'm going to be honest here. I made a baked avocado for breakfast and I hated it. Certain people love the taste and texture this egg baked in an avocado combo creates but I just didn't like it. I'm going to go ahead and post the recipe because like I said, I know people who love it. If you don't think it sounds good make another egg dish. May I suggest sunny side up eggs with avocado slices seasoned with salt, lemon pepper, and garlic powder and a baked grapefruit on the side?
If you haven't already made your bone broth, don't forget to start it in the crock pot. We'll be making soup tonight and the broth will need to cook for at least eight hours. I have instructions in day 4 and click here for a more in-depth recipe for the bone broth!
Day 5 Meals
Breakfast
Start with that good old half mug of warm lemon water and a little honey (I added a bit of apple cider vinegar today). Drink this about 30 minutes before you eat.
Trusty Matcha (With breakfast, not before due to it causing heart burn without food.)
Baked Avocado and Egg with Roasted Grapefruit

Preheat oven to 400F
Scoop out about a TBSP of avocado from each half.
Carefully add egg to the middle.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
Halve grapefruit and place cut side up on baking pan.
Bake avocado and grapefruit for about 10-15 minutes.
Sprinkle avocado with goat cheese crumbles.
Sprinkle grapefruit with cinnamon.
Serve with a side of sweet potato fries if you prepped them.

Enjoy! Or hate it like I did but eat it anyway because you aren't wasteful. It's really not that bad. I just prefer my avocado not baked.
Lunch
Salmon bowl

This is a super easy throw it in a bowl kind of meal. My very favorite kind of lunch, if you can't tell!
Add heated leftover salmon (1-1.5 minutes in the microwave), leftover (or fresh made) warmed up quinoa, roasted veggies, half an avocado, and some walnuts in a bowl and chow down!
Dinner
From Scratch Chicken Soup

If you didn't already do so, remove bone broth from crockpot and strain it in a large strainer. Carefully remove the extra chicken, carrots, garlic and onions without burning your hands and set aside to be added to soup.

Snacks
More plantain chips and hummus with raw veggies. Plus, tons of water!
