This is a super old post that needs new photos but the recipe is still solid! Homemade apple sauce is one of my favorite things. It's completely different than store bought. The flavors are more powerful and the texture is so so much better! I can't even remember the last time I bought storebought. This might seem like a silly waste of time, to make your own, but it's so easy and quick and totally worth it. I really don't have much else to say about applesauce because, well, it's applesauce and there's not much to talk about. So, if you've never made your own applesauce I urge you to try it out!

Ingredients
3 Granny Smith apples
1 Honeycrisp apple
1 TBSP honey
1 TBSP cinnamon
1 tsp coconut oil
Directions
Slice and peel apples
Cut slices into cubes
Add all ingredients to pot and stir to combine
Cook covered on medium high for 5 minutes and stir again
Turn heat to low and cook for 20 mins
Mash with potato masher until it's the consistancy you like and taste. Add more cinnamon or honey if needs and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
