This is a less than healthy dish, but why not eat yummy things? The key is to enjoy something like this, in moderation, and balance it with healthy food and exercise. That being said, I could live on these. Dates aren't the most unhealthy thing in the world but the wonderful part is they taste sinfully unhealthy. Bacon is...bacon, and it's delicious and horrible and that's ok sometimes. One last magic thing about this is how easy it is to make but how impressive it tastes!

Ingredients
Pitted dates
Bacon
Good quality fresh grated parmesan cheese (none of that junk in the green container)
Directions
Preheat oven to 400
Line baking sheet with parchment paper
Roll dates in 3-4 inch strips of bacon (poke through with toothpick if desired)
Bake for approx. 10 min
Turn oven to broil and cook about 5 more mins.
Top with finely grated cheese and serve warm
Tip- Watch closely. Your's might cook faster depending on your oven/thickness of bacon. You want your bacon crispy but not burnt. Keep in mind, it will crisp up a little as it cools.
